The Nikon D7000's AF and metering systems may also be new, and represent a considerable upgrade to people found in the D90. The completely new camera includes a 39-point AF array with 9 mix-type AF points and works together a completely new 2016-pixel RGB metering sensor allowing 3d AF monitoring (essentially monitoring by subject color, referred to here). Other changes are the same combined live view/movie switch control since the 3100, together with a substantially upgraded movie specs, around 'full HD' - 1920x1080 resolution at 24fps. Unlike the D90, the D7000 could also maintain AF throughout live view and movie shooting, due to its AF-F ('full time') AF mode.
